REGULAR TRAIN SCHEDULE: 

 

New train will be in service beginning MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND, assuming new train passes state inspection!

Sunday, May 29, 1-5 pm

Monday, May 29, 1-5 pm

 

Train station construction is expected to occur between July 5 and end of August, so train will not operate. Targeted GRAND OPENING of the Train Station, Brick Patio will likely occur in late AUGUST, 2022. Then train will remain open on weekends through October. Reopening for Polar Express. 

NORMAL SUMMER SEASON HOURS

(April through October)

Saturdays (1 to 5 pm) 

Sundays (2 to 5 pm)

SPECIAL JUNE HOURS targeting children with special needs will be set in partnership with local agencies. They are typically on Wednesdays. 

SPECIAL HOLIDAY HOURS:

1st & 2nd Friday & Saturdays in December, from 5 to 8 pm

Weather:  The train does not operate when either of these conditions occurs. Closures are posted on FaceBook.

 

      1) the track is wet (breaking hazard)

      2) the heat index is 95 degrees or higher. 

 

Tickets cost:  $1 per passenger for 2-3 times around the track

 

Concessions:  Snow cones, popcorn,

ice cream, drinks available. Served by Key Clubs from Wayne School of Engineering, Wayne Early Middle College High School & Eastern Wayne High School.

THE LITTLE FREE LIBRARY @ THE TRAIN

In partnership with the Wayne County Partnership for Children, free books are available in the Little Free Library located at the Train Station. 24/7. Helping children learn to read is one of our goals. 

 

Bring a book - get a free train ride! Or just bring gently used books.
