REGULAR TRAIN SCHEDULE: 

 

Train service will began on Saturday, May 6, 11:30 am, after the Ribbon Cutting at 11 am.  

There is still time to purchase a brick to be placed in the new patio surrounding the train station. See Purchase A Brick tab at top! 

NORMAL SUMMER SEASON HOURS

(April through October).

Saturdays & Sundays, 1 to 5 pm

Weather:  The train does not operate when rain or snow makes the tracks wet or heat index is greater than 95 degrees. Closures are posted on Facebook. Follow us at Kiwanis Miniature Train at Herman Park. 

Tickets cost:  $1 per passenger for 2-3 times around the track. 

Concessions:  Snow cones, popcorn, ice cream and drinks available. Served by volunteers from Key Clubs from Wayne School of Engineering, Wayne Early Middle College High School & Eastern Wayne High School, plus other local citizens. The best service hours ever.   

Credit/debit cards accepted? Yes. This year, we have gone touchless.

Special runs for birthday parties etc. can be scheduled outside regular hours at $100 per hour. Just call or text Chip 919-273-6416.

THE LITTLE FREE LIBRARY @ THE TRAIN

In partnership with the Wayne County Partnership for Children, free books are available in the Little Free Library located at the Train Station. 24/7. Helping children learn to read is one of our goals. 

 

Bring a book - get a free train ride! Or just bring gently used books.
